What We Do
ACTIN Care Groups is a physician-owned and managed health plan that focuses on providing concierge care to its members. ACTIN is in partnership with Ascension Illinois, UChicago Medicine, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth and Loyola University Medical Center.
Collectively, this network includes 11 acute care hospitals, 3 children’s hospitals, 8 psychiatric hospitals, 4 rehabilitation hospitals, 60 primary care clinics and over 6000 specialists. These exclusive partnerships allow us to substantially lower costs more than the short list of health plans that Chicago-area employers pick from. ACTIN Care Groups offers employers of various sizes a healthcare plan that heretofore could only be accessed by very large employers. There are 4 important reasons for employers to self-insure:
- Self-insurance allows employers to design their plan to most effectively save money and improve employee health. Insured plans are cookie cutter versions of the same plan.
- Self-insurance allows employers, not insurers, to keep the savings from their effective plan management.
- Annual cost escalation in our self-insured plans is at the level of economy-wide inflation.
- ACTIN’s plans offer hourly employees an affordable out-of-pocket cost of $1500 with no deductible and no cost primary care, behavioral health care, laboratory studies, diabetic supplies and insulins.
We Contract with Best-in-Class Hospitals.
Healthgrades is a company that measures hospital quality, measuring among other things, complication rates of care. In 2024 3 Illinois hospitals ranked in the top 50 nationally. Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village is one of the two in Chicago.
